Tiffany

This girl keeps us all going!!

She enjoys spending time with whoever will play with her.  She enjoys riding her bike outside and can't stand the thought that the kids might be outside and not her.  She continues to want my attention ALWAYS.  She can be crying one minute and laughing the other.   She has this cheezy smile that makes us all laugh, especially as she closes her eyes and expresses to us all that "I can't see".
"I can't see"

We went swimming a few days ago, it took some time before she realized that with her vest on she could swim all by herself.  Once she figured that out, she was all over that pool.      I'm a torn mom as she is figuring this out more and more!!!

Crazy Hair Day

The last day of school was crazy hair day for Benjamin and Heather,  and crazy they were!!!!  Benjamin found the clothespins on the counter and immediately knew what he wanted to do.  He had a system on how to arrange them.  We had fun braiding pipe cleaners in Heather's hair and shaping them as she wanted them.  Kids imaginations are a great thing.  I just hope that as a parent I can encourage them instead of stifle them.  Sometimes I have to fight that negative and limiting thoughts that I have and just sit back and watch.  Most times I am AMAZED at what they come up with.

Graduation

The end of this school year brought 2 graduations for our family.

Megan graduated this year from 8th grade.  I remember very clearly my 8th grade graduation.  That many years haven't already past have they???  Megan has had a good year.  She was very aware of her grades and expected the best from herself.  She enjoyed working on her science fair project and was able to win some awards from it.  She found that "best friend" this year which was important to her.  She worked on plays and slide shows as she was the TA for one of the Drama teachers.  She enjoyed her photography class and had some fun times taking pictures.  We are proud of her and are excited to see what the next 4 years for her holds.

Rachel graduated from Kindergarten.  She came upstairs the night before her graduation after she had been put to bed a while before and said, "I'm just so excited!!"  She had her dad set her alarm so she could get up early.  She asked that I curl her hair, she felt beautiful!!  It was just her and I on the way to school.  I held her hand, she was quiet the whole time, just thinking.  I told her that I would be missing her smiling face next year as she would be now staying the full day at school.  She just smiled bigger!!  She has made some great progress this year in school.  Her teacher presented her with the You Did It Award.   She loved everything about school.  Her teacher taught the kids that "in Kindergarten it's ok to make mistakes" and she lived by that rule.  She just tried her best and was happy!!!
At the end of the day Megan said, "you know mom when I graduate from High School, Tiffany will be graduating from Kindergarten."  Let's just say that I won't be wishing away any time!!!!  I'm the luckiest mom in the world to have the 5 GREATEST kids!!
