physical therapy day 1!

This post is by me, Megan!!

So yesterday at three thirty I went to my first physical therapy thingy!
It was OK I guess, But I've learned I cant go 2 and 1/2 hours without doing something!!!
the electricity felt REALLY weird!!! I got up to the 10thlevel though!! I also got a knee/leg massage. I wish he would just do my back too :) The guy had me do some exercises, and told me to do them at least 3 times a day. He also put me on the bike for a couple minutes. And then putsome weird stretchy tape on my knee. It was really weird, He told me I could keep it on for about 3 days, It would help with the pain or something, but guess what, it didn't even last 24 hours!!! And How it helps with the pain who knows!!! Well their was a short version of what happenedfor that 2.5 to 3 hours!!
Who would think I would get injured, PLAYING SPORTS!?!?

Happy Birthday Megan

Megan's 13th Birthday Party in Salt Lake - I might add it was FREEZING!!!!
Baptism Day Feb. 2005

Just Baking

Happy 13th Birthday to Megan. I remember bringing Megan home from the hospital. It doesn't seem like 13 years ago. What a great daughter she is. She is quite the example to us all. She is always happy and ready to help anyone who needs her. She has that gift from her Heavenly Father of knowing the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and wants to live it. She loves to cook in the kitchen. She is currently playing on her school basketball team and works very hard at it. She is a great sister and often can be found painting her sisters nails or reading books to them. I love sitting and talking with Megan. She loves quotes and jokes and has them ready for you whenever you're ready to listen. Megan I love you and am so proud of the person that you are becoming!!!!!!

Christmas 911, We need to help

Just imagine, being homeless... You can feel that cold wind blowing in your face. You only have one small jacket with one small blanket. You don't have a nice bed to sleep on. The only thing that you really truly have is your family, and some people don't even have that. You are excited for Christmas. You are hoping that you will get a Teddy bear or a new book.

BUT behind the scenes there is a HUGE problem the people who collect the presents to give don't have enough gifts!
They try to give each child about three presents but this year they have to cut back to about two, and they still don't know if they'll have enough.

WE NEED TO HELP!
If you have any toys, clothes, jackets, gloves, games, teddy bears, or anything elts like that laying around that you don't need PLEASE give them to people in need.

Without people to donate, these children won't have many presents or any presents at all!

I'm collecting them today until Christmas Eve.
If you have anything please bring them by and/or e-mail me @ disneygal12@gmail.com
They need your help!
Thank You
-Megan Sherman

The Spirit of Giving

For one of Megan's YW projects she wanted to collect stuffed animals. She made numerous phone calls to different organizations to see which one she wanted to donate them to. She ended up collecting them for our local police department who will carry them in their cars to give to children who have experienced trauma or just need a little comfort. Megan was determined!! She enlisted the help of students in her school and collected over 350 stuffed animals. WOW!! I'm so proud of her and for the organization, leadership and love that was needed to carry this project out. When we delivered them a few days ago, they couldn't believe how many she had collected in such a short amount of time. I love you Megan!!!
